English farmer digs up human skeleton

(Astigan) — A local farmer from Birchington, UK, working on one of his fields discovered a human skeleton.

His field is located on what archaeologists believe is an 800-year-old burial ground. After the discovery, the farmer announced the police. The Kent Police then took a bone sample for further scientific investigations, reports Kent Online.

This is not the first unusual discovery in the region. Last month, archaeologists have discovered the remains of a Bronze Age man. The remains were found to be at least 4,000 years old.

Another significant discovery was a stretch of Kent coastline dating back 2,000 years ago. The discovery was made at Richborough Roman Fort near Sandwich last autumn.
